The Dutch brand POLSPOTTEN is often described as “a garden for birds of paradise,” with a team of nearly 30 employees. What started as a ceramics shop on the Herenstraat in Amsterdam has grown into an internationally expressive and eclectic interior design brand.
The studio designs accessories, furniture, lighting and tableware. Craftsmanship is combined with a touch of creative Dutch design, resulting in handmade eye-catchers. Our colorful creations are sold worldwide in more than 65 countries through leading concept stores, platforms and department stores, and are showcased at major design fairs. A bold trendsetter with character.
YOUR BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
A completed financial MBO or HBO degree (or equivalent) provides a solid foundation. More importantly, you bring several years of experience in a financial role where accounts payable and accounts receivable were part of your responsibilities.
Excel holds no secrets for you, and experience with Exact Globe (our ERP system) is a plus.
As a person, we are looking for someone who is hands-on and enjoys working in an SME environment. You take ownership of the bookkeeping and bring senior-level reliability and execution.
Our office is based in Amsterdam, and we value working together in person as much as possible. When working full-time, one day of remote work per week is certainly possible.

As a Financial Administrator you will work in a finance team of three colleagues: a Controller, a Financial Administrator and the CFO.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial administration; Processing purchase and sales invoices, Posting bank and cash transactions, Maintaining the general ledger, Preparing and executing payments
- ·Accounts receivable & accounts payable management
- Support with periodic closings; Assisting with monthly and annual closings, Preparing balance sheet specifications, Supporting periodic financial reporting
